For best results, provide type in a vector program like Adobe Illustrator and convert all fonts to outline paths. Otherwise please provide all fonts used in layout. |
| 7. |
For offset printing we recommend a minimum line weight of .15 point. Anything finer than this may not print sharply. Halftones should be output at 133 lpi. For screen printing we recommend a minimum line weight of .5 point. Anything finer than this may not print sharply. Halftones should be output at 50 lpi. |
| 8. |
Include all printer and screen display fonts when you provide a file. We have some fonts, but this will assure complete accuracy (or convert all fonts to paths, before sending). |
| 9. |
Review designs that may have been clipped when another element was pasted over them. This is often the case when a background appears clear, but is really opaque white when pasted down. All pasted paths should be supplied with clipping paths. |
| 10. |
Many colors in RGB do not
separate well in CMYK. It is
best to provide the artwork in
RGB format along with a color
copy of the file as you want
it. Conversion to CMYK in
Photoshop is very important.
The printer needs to make this
conversion to ensure the correct
printing parameters. |
| 11. |
Provide printout proof whenever
possible. In the case of
4-color process, a color proof
must be included and stipulate
that is the most recent version
and was prepared from the file
on the supplied disk. |
| 12. |
Only send copies of your files.
Never send the originals.
Always provide a faxed copy,
JPEG file, or color printout
for reference. |
